Ross R

USCs : 14 - Ever Present

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 0

Bio: Strangely has never won a team event or individual title even though he attempts to pick his favorite events each year (Ivan requested that opening line).  A master competitor, known for his dominance in skill events, his confidence must surely have taken a knock when his younger brother joined the comp and took the title in 2018. But always someone who can pull out a result against the odds.

Most likely to say: "Who Won that event? I need to put the scores in"

Ross M

USCs: 13

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 3 - 2014, 2016, 2018

Bio:

Unbeaten in team events. He has never lost a running race in the 11 years....yet. Always in the top 2 when it comes to strength events and over the years it has been the skills sports that has stopped him from dominating the championship.

Most likely to say: "It's cool if I wear my spikes yeah?"

Peter

USCs: 13

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 0

Bio: Once a non-competitor, then a serious competitor (1 press up away from winning in 2012), he has struggled in recent years due to his self-confidence outweighing actual ability . But after burning his famous Aston Villa jersey after his 2018 performance, there are rumors he is about to announce his comeback to the top of the table.

Most Likely to say: " I am going to win this year, I think I have it"

David

USCs: 10

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 0

Bio: One of a few contenders who has yet to win a team or individual title even though he has been telling every client of his that this is in fact his year. A member of the famous team green of 2015, he has found it tough to recover since then. Has won numerous events over the years and has the current championship record in Hang Tough.

Most Likely to say: "when can I eat"

IMG_1115.jpg

Roberto

USCs: 13

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 3 - 2008, 2009, 2010

TEAM WINS: 1 - 2016

Bio:

Co chief organiser since inception and main traditional rival to Ivan, initially kicked ass for 3 years straight, but has struggled since putting on the sydney stone during his time down under. Came back against the odds after heart surgery to win a team event in 2016, although not what he once was, can always be a danger.

Most likely to say: "next event ,come on, stop messing, listen, Eoin Dave put the ball down, come on, time, come on, shut up, hurry up, stop messing, give me that ball"

CIMG5329.jpg

Ivan H

USCs: 13

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 3 - 2011, 2012, 2013

TEAM WINS: 1 - 2014

Bio:

As the elder statesman of the group he has the joint best record in the competition (still notoriously claims that he would have won an extra championship if the egg didn't drop in the egg and spoon race).  Decline was seen in 2018 mainly due to diet and having too much free time, but you can never write him off, he will most certainly be aiming for revenge in 2019.

Most likely to say: "Peter, I think you have a chance this year....Nooooooo"

Tristan

USCs: 12

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 2 x 2016, 2018

Bio: Has always been lingering there or thereabouts around the top of the table coming in to the last few events of the championship. However he has traditionally has always bottled it, or can’t walk due to pushing the body to hard when the going gets tough.

Most likely to say: "That was a really good shot by me"

Tim S

USCs: 11

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 1x 2018

Bio: Now in his 7th straight year he made a remarkable comeback in 2016 after a serious injury in 2014  required multiple surgeries. His first taste of victory in 2018 will spur him on for more medals in the coming years. A player who year on year gets closer to the title.

Most likely to say: "Whats is this catholic roundball game called again"

Tim T'OT

USCs: 11

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 1 x 2016

Bio: In the original years, he really loved his wooden spoon, although he hasn’t held it since 2010. Famously he went from not being able to finish the 1500m to coming in the top half the following year after intensive training (aka giving up pot noodles for a month).  A team champion in 2016 with Team Black, he is known for being the best croquet player in the tournament.

Most likely to say:  “Lads, can croquet be in twice”, no,  “ F*ck you Carey”

CIMG5394.jpg

Chris

USCs: 11

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 0

Bio: First entering in 2011, Chris brought joy to the competition for O’Toole by taking away his precious Wooden spoon. However, after a lot training over the years, especially in Boules, he has managed to stay away from the dreaded spoon in recent years.

Most Likely to say: " lads, is it okay if I go for a quick nap in the car"

Ian

USCs: 6

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 0

BIo: Took a break in recent years due being sick of breaking parts of his body through participation in the USC. Has a deep hatred for the triple jump as it resulted in a cruciate ligament issue back in 2011. However, it's expected to be announced soon that he will make a comeback for 2019 La Decima.

Most likely to say: " Bullshit"

CIMG5293.jpg

Andrew

USCs: 5

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 1 - 2014

Bio: Always known for his amazing ability to stick to the rules which the lads really appreciated. Has struggled in recent years due to a) Bowling never been an event in recent years and, b) not attending as residing in Australia.

Most likely to say: " Thats not right, your'e doing it wrong, if you do it like this, let me show you, no your wrong, i'm right"

Eoin /B.O.D

USCs: 7

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 1 - 2014

Bio: Only making his debut in 2014, Eoin successfully took on the mantle of holding on to the Wooden Spoon. Known over the years for his professional Cox Rowing, Rugby and the promotion of Ivan skills. He is known for his traditional smashing of the dreaded spoon after each competition. He came close to passing the spoon back to Chris/Tim in 2018... could the dice roll in his favour in 2019?   A team champion in 2016 under the direction of Ivan.

Most Likely to say:  "Ivan is the True Champ"

Ken

USCs: 4

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 0

TEAM WINS: 1 - 2014

Bio: A man who flies in regularly from a foreign land to attend has over the years won  multiple events. His basketball, rugby and strenght skills have worked in his favour over the years. Someone you want on your team at all times. A champion in 2014, he is hoping 2019 will be his year.

Most likely to say: " Any chance we could do some downhill biking?"

Len

USCs: 2

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 1 - 2018 (Tied)

TEAM WINS: 0

Bio: In his first year he was famously known as the guy who tripped at the end of the beach run, however he put that aside and in 2018 he came back stronger and ended the competition as joint champion. He was milliseconds from taking the cup for himself. Has self belief that he can take the cup as solo champ in 2019.

Most Likely to say: " The hidden elf came out of nowhere and tripped me up, i didn't fall"

20181110_232733.jpg

Simon

USCs': 7

INDIVIDUAL WINS: 1 - 2018 (Tied)

TEAM WINS: 1 - 2018

Bio: Has only taken part in two USCs but has already left an impression. Was left disappointed in 2016 when his strong team was destroyed due to an off the ball incident on a team mate, but used that as inspiration to come back in the 2018 edition to take both the individual and team trophy in 2018, the first man to conquer both.

Most Likely to say: "When people say to me: would you rather be thought of as a funny man or a great USC contender? My answer is always the same, to me, they're not mutually exclusive"
